I am Corey Davis, a freelance Graphic Designer & Art Director based in Chicago, IL. I have over 7 years of in-house creative marketing experience, and over 14 years of experience as a freelance designer. My main focus is on branding and digital creative marketing, although I do have a heavy background in print design. I spent the past 5+ years as the in-house Creative Marketing Manager for ShowPlace ICON Theatre & Kitchen, a small movie theatre chain with a rich history in cinema under the Kerasotes family. During my time there, my projects included branding (re-branding from ShowPlace ICON to ShowPlace ICON Theatres; branding the ICON Bistro -- a full service dining experience at the Tyson's, VA location); handling of all artwork on the website, app, and in-theatre ordering kiosks; designing digital posters for various promotions and movie-themed cocktails; and designing digital and print ads for different movie theatre publications.
In my spare time, I run a small, but slowly growing social media account called Rumbibe that's dedicated to all things rum. The account was made to be my contribution to rum culture. It focuses on introducing newcomers to a vast world of rum brands, cocktails and cocktail bars, as well as providing content that highlights different rum-centric events. It's a fun passion project of mine that I hope to develop into something largescale!
